Calling all Polar Bears! We are thrilled, yet again, to be hitting the beach (and the Atlantic Ocean) on February 11, 2024 - Super Bowl Sunday! - for the 2024 Polar Bear Splash! If you ever thought about becoming a Polar Bear, this is the year! If you can't join us on the beach, feel free to #SplashFromHome! Since 2000, the Polar Bears have raised more than $9 million to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. The Polar Bears are motivated by camaraderie, a touch of madness, and a common goal: to honor young Paulie Bradley's memory and keep his young spirit alive in others. Arts In The Plaza is Long Beach's Weekly Arts Festival featuring handcrafted art by Long Island artists. It takes place every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through Halloween from 10am - 3pm in Kennedy Plaza, Long Beach. Live music each week!Porch Fest 2024

The AOH Irish Heritage Parade & Festival begins at Washington Boulevard and West Beech Street at 11am on Saturday, October 5. There will be vendors and food along West Beech Street until 4pm..Electric Light Parade 2024
The West End Electric Light Parade takes place on West Beech Street beginning at Ohio Avenue on the second Saturday in December each year.The City of Long Beach and the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce present the 10th Annual Electric Light Parade on Saturday, December 9, 2023. So bundle up, bring your holiday spirit, and join us at this beautiful Long Beach tradition. The parade travels through the West End of Long Beach on West Beech Street, beginning at Ohio Avenue. Antique cars, fire trucks, floats, and bicycles will be wrapped in colorful lights for this delightful holiday event. Awards will be given to the most festive. In addition, West End businesses/restaurants will offer Electric Light Parade specials and kids' activities before and after the parade. Parking will be available via West Broadway at the Long Beach Catholic Regional School schoolyard, with shuttle buses to the West End. loats line up at the Sands parking lot at 5:00 pm and step off at 6:00 pm. The official parade start is 6:00 pm on West Beech Street at Ohio Avenue.
